Piano Tricks of the Trade Review:

We would like to thank Mr Ron's Music for allowing us to access this course for the purpose of this review.

The early sections in the course focus on the basics and don't assume anything about the readers prior knowledge or experience. The sections at the beginning are really great for both kids and adults. The introduction to time signatures and basic rhythm notation is well laid out. Students new to these concepts will enjoy the clapping rhythm exercises as they really help students of any age or experience grasp the importance of playing not only the right notes but playing the accurate rhythms.

Of the courses we have reviewed Mr Ron's Piano Tricks of the Trade is at the top of our list for the depth of topics covered and the clear and simple way Ron Worthy explains things in the lessons. The reason Ron Worthy's piano courses excel is is that they don’t just quickly teach students how to play the piano, they teach students how to play the piano correctly.

Piano Tricks of the Trade Review:

The Piano Tricks of the Trade is a great course. I should know as I have tried at least 2 different books and one other course on DVD before getting this course. I would think private lessons would be the best way to go but if you can't afford it or it isn't an options you will love this course. It just takes practice. As boring as it can be to repeat some of the exercises in this course it will really start to pay off in time if you stick to it. I give this course 5 out of 5 stars because compared to the other courses and books I have tried it's really great.

Piano Tricks of the Trade Review:

I bought the piano tricks of the trade course last month and I am really enjoying it. I think it might have been a little expensive but having said that I do like they way the course is laid out. I am brand new to playing. I knew nothing at all when I purchased this course. I got a keyboard from my roommate that never used it and so I decided to take a stab at learning to play. It takes a lot of practice that's for sure but I am sticking to it. Reading music is coming along pretty slow for me but like they say practice makes perfect.

Piano Tricks of the Trade Review:

I think if you are at all serious about learning to play the piano you should take private lessons. I like this course but one thing you can't get from it is any feedback. Not having someone to correct your mistakes or tell you when you are doing something right makes learning tuff. I have always wanted to learn to play piano and this course was a gift to me from my lady so for now it will have to do. I have learned a lot from it but I think you can only go so far with a product like this.

Beginner Piano Lessons on DVD... for "Visual Learners" Review

This is an awesome course that I have really enjoyed learning from. The coolest thing about it is that it's a dvd and they slow a lot of the more difficult stuff down for you so you can get a better idea of what's being played. I have went over this 2 hour dvd probably about 10 times now and I am really getting the hang of the concepts Mr Ron teaches on the dvd. This course doesn't focus so much on reading music and theory but they way you learn to play scales and arpeggios really helps to exercise your fingers and wrist. If you can't afford music lessons from a private teacher this isn't a bad way to get started.

Piano Tricks of the Trade Review:

Good course but a little on the expensive site. I have learned a lot from it and I would really recommend it to someone that can't afford or doesn't have the time to take lessons from a piano teacher. I live in a pretty rural area and would have to drive about 60 miles to take lessons so it's working out for me ok. I will say I have gone from only knowing about 4 chords and 1 song to knowing many chords, scales and arpeggios in about 2 months time thanks to this course. Good luck!
